Liquid Essentials Balance Boards

The Balancebird “Liquid Essentials” collection was created in a small, cozy house in Bali.

During eight months on the island, I saw many different surfboard makers - from large surf brands to local shapers sanding foam by hand in their garages.

Everyone had their own style and their own vision of how a surfboard should look and feel.

The graphics were also shaped by moments in the water - giant liquid walls rolling toward me, stretching and glowing in the morning sun; the split second when I barely escaped a wave breaking behind me.

And the smiles - dozens of smiles from people who had just caught a wave and were paddling back to the lineup.

Drops of water flying from your hair as you ride home on a scooter after a session.

All these moments, people and experiences are connected by the same love for the ocean.
