Who’s behind this

My name is Viktor. I’m from Ukraine, where surfing was always far away, but the idea of it never was.

Balancebird started with a simple goal: to create something that captured a little of that feeling and brought it into everyday life. A board that looked just as natural in your living room as it did under your feet.

How it started

I started making balance boards in Ukraine in 2016, long before my first surf trips. Surfing still felt far away at the time, but I was already fascinated by the idea of it and wanted to bring a little of that feeling into everyday life.

The first boards were made for myself and friends. Balancebird grew slowly from there - one board at a time.

What we make today

Balancebird started with balance boards, but slowly grew into something bigger.

Today we make the things we genuinely love using ourselves - balance boards, fleeces and everyday gear shaped by road trips, workshop days, cold mornings and years spent around boards.
